What is the aversion to Samsung tvs? I have a 58" Samsung from 2008 that still looks amazing although it is not 4k.
I have a 2021 model I bought in 2022 and died after two years. There older products were better quality. I would avoid their Edge Lit panels.

I have a Samsung 720p 32" LCD that is still going strong from 2011 model

From what I heard, the sound bar doesn't worth that much, it's not that good. This would be great deal if you don't need the soundbar. Adding tax would be like $200 difference.

Purchased a very similar deal as this a couple years ago. On difference being an older model in both TV and Soundboard (SB may be the same). Used the SB for maybe 4-5 months and got rid of it. My AVR hooked up to the OLED is by far superior. Soundbars in general have never been great.

Ok, so the LG c9 has tons of messed up pixels all around the bezel after 6 years, time to upgrade. Thing is, I absolutely LOATHE LGs interface and the ads on a $1000-$2000 premium TV. Is the Samsung/sony platform better? If so, what would the Sony equivalent be to the C4?

Like I said, yes, you can disable if you know how. Also, the TV technically controls the output to the screen. When the TV is switched off by the user, or really at any time, the TV could override the input and instead output whatever it wants to the screen. It doesn't really make sense to override an active input, otherwise no one would buy the TV. But outputting ads to the screen when the TV is selected off by the user is still completely possible. The user would have to literally kill power to the TV.

Really my ultimate point is that for those of us that are reasonably technically savvy, we will be able to override or otherwise address the issue in some way. but think about all the other people that all they know is their mobile phone that will be plagued by the ads.

How do you remove ads from LG c3?
