I bought this at Costco new for the same $100 price. I added a pair of wireless microphones from amazon for around $50 and the combination worked very well. The speaker batteries lasted for several speeches and on another night lasted for several hours of music play outdoors and still had more than 50% battery remaining. Not super loud, but it was loud enough for us.
I did not love the LED lighting effects, but you can turn them off by cycling through the lighting options. I thought it was strange that once we turned off the lighting, that it would turn on again if we adjusted the speaker volume.

This speaker isn't very well regarded. Klipsch's own website has user ratings at 3.3 . Reddit notes that it doesn't actually have Klipsch speaker drivers in it and is rebranded shit.
Yeah not comparable to JBL, these (now) retail for 160ish new and in my opinion not worth that price.
A JBL partybox is worth the extra coin imo. We have the older 100 series and is great for karaoke, parties, etc. We have 2 and use them at least once a week.
We got this Gig XXL at Costco several months back for quite a bit more ($160?) and have used it several times in places where power is simply not available (mostly outdoors), and really enjoy using it.
At this price, I might buy another to pair with the first. I just hope the battery is still in good shape on these refurbished units.

Stupid question... Can I just leave it plugged in and it will work without issue all night?

I own this one and I'm 99% positive that you are correct. We've plugged it in when we thought the battery was running low and let it play for a long time. The battery does last pretty long for our use. We bought this from Costco and use it mainly at youth baseball games for walkup/warm up music. It gets some secondary use at outdoor parties and lakehouses. I've never needed the mic for much but it's fun to terrorize the kids or your wife if you get bored. I think I paid $199 and don't regret it. Seems like a decent deal if you really just need a big speaker and not a real karaoke machine.

If not, is it worth $100?
