I have the 2024 mini led legion 9i 4090 I got on sale in may if this would have been this deal back then I would of snagged it quick.

I'm debating if the 4090 is really worth it over the 4080, I know in the long term it'll help with resale...but the upfront difference is $500 and pushing my personal budget

I saw but with that much dissipation you are better off with the 18 and that's the better value for money relatively speaking.

Anyone figured out the new in the title below the header?

I think the price went up already. Also unsure on the RAM config but I believe it is 32gb

I went with the 16 inch mini LED model for the same price. The 18 has too large of a footprint to fit into my backpack. Price seems to have gone up quite a bit from yesterday evening when I purchased though.

I feel silly now because I dint realize the 16 was mini LED, congrats again. Glad I was able to help. I guess I was so focused on getting the 18, never bothered to get the other one.

It really is a tough call and I've gone back and forth, too. Bought a Legion 7 4080 laptop last year (it really is an excellent piece of hardware), but ended up returning it in favor of the Steam Deck and not feeling the pressure to upgrade to a non-oled screen (or at least mini-led).

In the end I decided that if the price difference was roughly $300usd it was an absolute no-brained if only for the extra vram probably extending the laptop's useful lifespan. As that price differential over the 4080 extends closer to ~$400 it became much more questionable.

If the laptop is to be used for work however, just go all-in and don't compromise haha. Time is money etc and lonely hotel rooms on the road are made easier with some gaming distractions.
