Bought the infuser yesterday, this seems like a slightly lesser model, probably a bit older. Found a good comparison for those looking for one: https://www.seattlecoffeegear.com...vs-infuser

looks like the big diffs are the infuser has PID and more shot control options.

I read this one is actually newer. They're pretty similar, though this one doesn't have a pressure gauge or the ability to slightly increase or decrease the water temperature, nor does it have pre-set water volume buttons for pulling shots. For me saving $50 on the sale price is worth it, after one gets the grind dialed in then the pressure gauge isn't really useful and one can just use the espresso pull time as the indicator. I don't care about water volume buttons for shots either. The ability to adjust temps might be handy but I would probably never use it.... But those things may be important to someone else. For most people I think the end result will be quite similar

I'm very heavy into the Bambino is a better deal for $300.

You'll never really need the temp control at this price point. You'll be far far more limited by your grinder at 54mm then temp.

The three second ready of the bambino is really priceless, its nice to be able to turn on the machine a brew. The added three way valve also makes pucks much cleaner. There are also other benefits, but they escape me right now.

I'd say I'm an "advanced" coffee drinker and have been _thrilled_ with my bambino plus + my eureka crono.

When did they add a 3 way valve to the Bambino, are you referring to the Bambino Plus that you have?

The $300 Bambino is more or less just preference when compared to the Duo Temp Pro, the Plus though is my favorite Breville machine besides the Dual Boiler.. (not best just my favorite)

if anyone is interested they have the Breville pro at homegoods for $499 new. They seem to continue to stock them. I checked and there were two at this store, and others say shipment was coming in today.

How do you check the stock?
