You most likely need to use the provided SATA extension cable they send with the hard drive or perform the 3.3v pin fix.
It went down $1.01 from the other day. I am not sure why it is exiting news, I was thinking of another for a second spare, but then again 5yrs is a long time to worry about the seller still being around by then, so a second spare might be good sense either way.

The price on these refurbished 12tb hard drives has dropped once again to $72.99. Great for use in a NAS with a 5 year warranty !

I think this is the going price - I've had this on my ebay watch list for weeks, and the price hasn't changed. I'm waiting for it to get closer to $60 - I read on here that some people got these for around that price in recent months.

They were slightly more expensive earlier but I had a 10% off coupon so I ordered 3 for 200. Will be a huge upgrade to the 3tb drives I currently have. They are currently on their way and should get here on Thursday.

Yes, the Ultrastar's and Exo's are very loud in comparison to your typical PC HDD. There is nothing stopping you from using them in a PC though.

I bought a few of these drives . Most of them have about five years of power on time but I found one with 2 years and another w three years of power on time.

Good drives esp for a Nas setup.

I have 3 in mine for plex. . My pc runs 24/7. The only time I hear the drives is when transferring or extracting files.

Ordered 2 and 1 came DOA. Customer service was great, though. Just make sure you test them!

Any recommended software or command to do a deep test of these?

Received 5 from the prior post on it and they power on and have SMART info but would like to run a comprehensive test. All the ones I received have between 3-4 years of power on time, so I wasn't as lucky as a few who reported fewer powered on hours.

Anyone knows if this will work on the Ubiquiti UDM Pro (1st version) ?

And the reolink NVR?

Do you need to do the tape trick for these devices?

I tried mine on multiple sata ports and power connections. Think it's dead?
