However, the framerate on the OG Switch is a constant 25-30fps and there is a crazy depth of field effect applied to the overworld.

My version is English but I've gotten games from Play-Asia as part of their bundles and they all play fine so long as you don't care about the box art. My Asian Dave the Diver even let me download the free DLC with my US account but YMMV for that
Also, this game isn't a remaster so it may take longer but Gamefly has some $40 switch games like Luigi's Mansion 2 and Paper Mario 1000 year door for $40 so this might be the same deal in a couple months
