I was just without power for a few days from the storm(ga). It ran my window ac, full size fridge, 86"tv, 2 220 gallon fish tanks(filters heaters etc), lamps, washing machine, router fiber modem, laptop and didn't skip a beat.

Would this be good for a smaller travel trailer? I was looking previously at the 2500 watt duel fuel generator from Champion and teaming it up with a 2nd for a total of 5000 watts, but this might do the trick, anyone have any experience with this and their camper?

That's $100 less than I paid 2 1/2 years ago. I just used mine for the past 5 days running continuously and worked great. Ran 8000btu window unit, 75" tv, ps5, monitor, 8 fans, 3 lamps, 2 refrigerators, chest freezer.. Etc and worked great. May very well get this just to have another one.

Do you think this is probably a better value than the Firman 4000w on ebay about a week ago?

If you are talking about the refurbished one that was like 329.99 I would say no. You get a free 2 year warranty from ebay on the refurbished one also.

I bought a Champion model #200955 4250W open frame inverter generator in 2022 and never opened it(mistake 1). When we got a storm in 2023 out of the box, the fuel switch was broken and leaked fuel all over, so I couldn't use it. They sent a replacement I had to replace. Once it was replaced, I started the generator and after making sure it ran for a minute(mistake 2), stored it according to instructions. After a recent storm, I brought it out and it won't run for more then a minute. I realized I should have run it for an hour before.
I called tech support said it is a bad carburetor that they shipped me and I have to learn how to replace. So that is two faulty parts out of the box.

How did you run those all of 2 outlets. Please excuse my ignorance.

Depends on your power needs. Assuming propane range/oven/heat/water heater, and if you use ac, if it's a small or pretty efficient one, just a 2500w should work just fine IF you are mindful about the load. By that I mean things like you aren't trying to run a microwave, coffee maker, and ac at the same time. That sort of thing. With some lights and fridge going, and a few misc things like tv on, a small one should easily handle. Add a high draw item like an air conditioner, you'll be at or near the top of what it can handle. Add in another you'll surely trip. Turn off the ac when you want to use a hair dryer…finish using the microwave before turning on coffee maker…that sort of being mindful is what I'm talking about. Pretty much basics + 1 higher load item as long as it isn't too crazy like an 1800w toaster oven or something on a 2500w. Step up another 1k watts, maybe your basics + 1 very high draw item or 2 normal higher draw ones…etc.

You COULD just go as big as you can afford and care to lug around of course…but remember the bigger the generator the more fuel your are going to burn, even with eco modes engaged. This is where finding the right size for what you need to run and how mindful about when you run things really come in to play vs just going big.
