Really good deal. 7900XT is about 15-20% faster than the 4070 ti Super at rasterization (obviously about 20%slower in raytracing) while being about 10-15% more affordable.

If you can afford it, awesome for you!

But I assume you're referring to minimum wage workers who have no kids/other responsibilities, no rent expenses, no bills, no food requirements, no savings to set aside for rainy days, no retirement investments, no college savings to pay into or debt to pay off, no income tax withheld, etc., etc., etc. (Essentially a 14yo working at Chick-fil-A while living with their middle-class parents.) Yeah, if they didn't have all that and more to consider, then you're right—even they could make up the difference in less than a month.

7900XTX at $700 will make it pretty tempting over RTX options.

There are limitations to warranty claims on CC'S. Interesting thing is i got this from microcenter open box for $679 over a year ago when they were easily $799 and popup sales for $749. It had the balance of 3y warranty which was 2y 9months at the time. Did asrock shorten warranty?
Like all warranty services, you read the term and decide if it's worth it to you. Plus, it depends on the credit card.

With how much heat is potentially generated by a higher end gpu, 1y OR USED WITH NO warranty is not enough, IMO

AMD recommended power supply for AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics card is minimum 750W or greater power supply with 12V output > 62A. Minimum recommended system power supply wattage is based on a PC configured with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X processor plus typical power requirements of other system components.

You're going to need to replace your PSU if you buy this card.

Best deal today for a gpu for pure rasterization, as long as you don't fully care about RT, or Ai rendering or Cuda support

I currently have a 6700xt - I don't know how AMD supporters can still buy new AMD cards when RT performance sucks

Not true, why put your game on ultra settings if you do not care how the game looks

This is RTX 4070 Super pricing. And the RX 7900 XT beats the 4070 Super at both pure rasterization and ray-tracing. Everything that the 4070 Super has going for it against the 7600 XT is nerfed by its inferior 12GB VRAM buffer.

Either way, it depends on what kind of games one plays. If you play competitively and need max FPS, RT is not an option. If you want eye candy for your single-player games, then you might consider ray-tracing and path-tracing. But very few games make good enough use of RT/PT to make it worth the premium right now. Plus, if you want to use ultra settings + RT, you'll need at least 16GB of VRAM. PT is barely an option—it will destroy your performance at this price point.

I regret going cheap and getting a 6700xt vs a 4080 - how long you'll be able to use the card is greatly extended if it can do RT competently.

Agreed on the performance difference, but that's a $300 vs $1000 comparison. That's a lot of dough.

true but even a minimum wage fast food worker can make up the difference in less than a month lol. I'm gonna be getting a 4080 or 5080 soon just two years after my 6700xt cuz I'm hitting its limits in the games I'm playing - if I bought a 4080 originally I would be set for at least 4 years
