Ring is increasing my plan by 100%. Would not recommend.

Yup screw Ring. Cancelled my plan yesterday. Moving to eufy probably. Don't care if China knows if I'm home or not.

If it was $100 and is going up to $200 I understand the unhappiness but $8 a month is a ridiculously low price. I'd be suspicious of any company offering monitoring that low.

what are you talking about? it is going up from $100 to $200. and that sort of mentality is exactly why they can do it. every company is increasing their subscription costs, this is all just the beginning.

I remember reading about this a few months ago, that the $100 plan would go to $200.

so I just got this email from ring this week:

Your subscription is renewing soon.
We're letting you know that your yearly Ring Protect Plus subscription will renew on November 1 for $106.xx.

is there a certain time frame that the increase will happen?

Everyone who signed up knew it would never stay at $8.That was a really low price to get people to invest in the hardware. I moved to Ring from Simplisafe who increased price to $20. At a certain price point people will cancel. Maybe for you that is $16 but not for me. This is nothing compared to the monthly fees that the old alarm companies used to charge before the DIY systems.

they still have the $10 unlimited plan the $20 plan is for emergency monitoring and comes with 24/7 recording
