SATA is a branding label not an isolated company/factory. The brand name is owned by Apex Tool Group. Apex Tool Group itself is owned by the megacorporation Bain Capital.
ATG owns over 30 tool brands such as Allen, Apex, Armstrong, Campbell, Crescent, Delta, Gearwrench, Jacobs, K-D Tools, Mayle, Nicholson, Plumb, & Wiss.
Many of the tools labeled Husky at Home Depot, Duralast at Autozone, Carlyle at NAPA & and numerous labels for Harbor Freight are made by Apex.
They used to make tools for Craftsman before that label was sold to their competitor Stanley Black & Decker.

Some SATA tools are crappy Chinese-made, some are high quality Taiwanese-made, some are good enough quality Chinese-made. The same is true for GearWrench and Crescent. They don't only make good tools under one label and only bad under another.
The exact same tools get sold with all three labels.

Most sockets you buy nowdays the brand name is just lasered on, even when the size might be roll stamped. That way they can have multiple brands rolling off the same production line with no change in tooling.

Shows a 15% coupon for me, which makes the set $22.11.

SATA is made by Apex Tools, who also make GearWrench. Doesn't mean these are the same level of quality, but they do have a decent reputation.

Actually these need SATA to IDE cable converters. Also be sure to set jumper depending on main drive or secondary.

I clicked the box for Apex when I posted it as the brand because SATA was not an option.
Some Apex stuff is good quality made in Taiwan, some is low quality made in China.
The Gearwrench stuff they are pretty good about warranty. So I assume they should be good about covering the same lifetime warranty on their SATA hand tools.

SATA (Apex brand) as stated also makes Gearwrench brand & both are very good tools, I have lots of Gearwrench & SATA. The push button lock/release is a great feature to have & one only available on the highest end of gearwrench ratchets. Apex customer service is easy & great to work with, didn't need a receipt to get a ratcheting flex head wrench replaced, I was very pleased with their customer support a couple months ago.

I have always enjoyed my SATA tools. They go on sale on Amazon from time to time.

SATA is a low-end China brand that has been trying to get better. To be fair, some of their recent stuff is actually pretty good, but I've known about them for awhile based off a few purcahses on Aliexpress, some of which did not go well. These wrenches are probably good, but I don't like SATA as a brand. They are just another Chinese rip-off company who has copied everything they have ever done from someone else.

I love this deal just because it helps me get back some of my common sense before the great inflation. Don't actually need the ratchets though. They look nice enough.

These are the same as the Home Depot Husky ratchets. Same manufacturer.

The SATA ratchet performed very well given its price point in Project Farm's ratchet test.
