FYI I am the one who posted (and purchased) the previous deal for the same blender when it was a $15 off promo code a couple of weeks ago, making it $285. The blender was shipped directly from Vitamix Corp and arrived 11 days after I had ordered it, although I had ordered it on a Saturday so 2 non-business days.

I called QVC to ask if they'd refund the difference since this promo is better by $35, and the nice lady did. So if any of you ordered with the previous deal, call in for the difference.

FYI this is the only Vitamix series that doesn't fit under standard cabinets. Also does not have SELF DETECT technology and only has a 5-yr warranty (versus models with 10-yr). Still a good price if it fits your specs and kitchen!

Looking to get a Vitamix for smoothies and the occasional food processing. How does this one rate? Looks like even though it's a 64oz jar it has a narrow base so it should work with smaller quantities

From what I've read on reddit it seems this is a 5200 rebranded for qvc with a 5 year warranty. I bought a vitamix from the best buy august sale and can say it is worth every penny.

Don't waste your money on other blender. Just get this. I have an old one and you can literally throw anything in there.

The 5200 is the ones all the restaurants use, one of the betters ones right?

I'm definitely looking to have a Vitamix but there seem to be a lot of different models. I don't need anything fancy. My Ninja sucks and needs to go

No vitamix has commercial blenders that are way more expensive and that's what restaurants and coffee shops use. The cheapest commercial version of this is called the vita prep and can be had for around $400 vs 1k+ for most of the Comercial versions

Only 5 year warranty? Don't you get more with Vitamix directly? Or is 5 standard?

You can buy the wide jar to fix this, but they are pricey (~100 on sale)

You'd get 7 year warranty with the 5200 from Vitamix, but this is same blender at a great price. I personally would not pay the notable premium for 2 years more of warranty.

Especially when product failures generally follow a "bathtub curve" distribution. If your blender survives the first year or two of normal use - the probability that it fails during the remainder of the 5 year warranty is substantially lowered.
