We're lucky they havent started charging for everything separately yet. Prime video is still included (albeit with ads now) and its bundled with the other perks like shipping, photos, free ebooks, Whole Foods perks, among others.

I've only just started collecting them since I just got a gaming rig. I'm pretty happy so far. Free is free when I already have prime for shipping and prime video.

I mean, to be fair, Prime Video kinda sucks. Actually, strike the kinda. Unless your jam is low budget conspiracy videos about aliens and government coverups.... about aliens. And now that they've started including ads unless you cough up even more money... They have a couple good shows (Upload, Vox Machina, Invincible, Hazbin Hotel) but almost everything else is god awful. That Lord of the Rings show desperately needs someone who knows how to properly edit to keep things rolling. Wheel of Time is kind of meh... There's honestly nothing on that service that really justifies them wanting to charge more for it.

Edit: I see prime video is planning to add even MORE ads now. Apparently only like 20% of people coughed up for the ad free version, but fewer people canceled their subscriptions than they expected so they're calling it a "positive reception" by customers. You can't make this shit up! 🤦

I have Tomb Raider Legend on Steam and while it was a great advancement in the series in 2006, it's really ropey on modern PCs and the visuals are sketchy at points. I just redownloaded it and while it's supposed to support the Xbox controller, menus don't recognize the D-pad, only the left stick, you can't use B to back out of menus (have to hit Esc on KB), and tutorial cues tell you the M+KB commands (i.e. E, Space, etc.) instead of what buttons to press, so there's some trial and error to sort what does what. It also runs so quickly that panning the camera around with the right stick is way too fast.

Last month's Shadow of the Tomb Raider (from 2018) is light years beyond visually, though it's the weakest of the Survivor Trilogy due to some iffy story choices. But it looks great still. Hope the upcoming game on the Unreal 5 engine is good and they haven't woketarded Lara for the mythical "modern audiences" which don't exist and by pandering to them companies like Ubisoft are about to crash and burn with failure like Star Wars Outlaws and the appalling Assassin's Creed Shadows.

I was going to cancel Prime, but these game giveaways are actually pretty awesome for my Steam Deck.

Between Prime and Epic, I have a pretty incredible backlog of indie and older games that work really well on the platform.

Ahh try the Unlimited Photo storage and 10gb of video storage. Most people don't realize that and still pay for icloud storage.

At the very least Amazon photo backup is a good redundancy for your Google Photos/iCloud primary, and it's included with Prime!
