Although this does meet the discount airlines travel size requirements, all the pockets and handle take away a lot of space. Since a personal item can't fit a whole lot, it's better to have a simpler design to maximize internal space.

I ended up getting this [amazon.com] and use vacuum bags to compress all my clothing items. It worked great as I had a 4 day trip of clothing and souvenirs fit inside a personal item.

No wheels, no shoulder strap = Hard pass. Glad that works for you but may as well carry your stuff in a GD reusable grocery bag at that point.

But it has wheels, lol. I wouldn't want a shoulder strap, too bulky. I saw a few people with similar bags last week at the airport. If the black bag was discounted to this price, I'd get one.

A couple of reviews show the dimension does not include the wheels and it ends up being too big for spirit.
