I bought the UM690S a year ago directly from MINISFORUM. After waiting a month or more it arrived DOA. Had to send it back on MY dime and wait for THEM to receive it before they would ship a replacement. Another few WEEKS later it arrived and actually worked. So YES that extra $25 from Amazon is 100% worth it!

Not a better deal but they have it on Amazon for $25 more if you want it delivered quicker and have an easier time returning it if you don't like it. Again not a better deal but more of the Amazon tax for more convenience.

Had one. Downgraded to a NUC because the thing was so unstable. Hard freezes at least a few times a day. Forums said to downgrade RAM speed to 4800. That helped a lot, but still hard froze about every other day. You get what you pay for, I'll gladly pay more for anything but Minisforum.

They have the Mini ITX board with the same CPU and a slot for a GPU right now.
Edit: Sorry, CPU for the itx board has twice the cores.

I'm hesitating between this or the cheaper UM773. I only use it to stream videos and websites. Gaming is always on PS5.

Then UM773 is more than enough.

It has 2 M.2's right, so you can always add an oculink adapter if you don't mind it looking a little janky.

I have this. It's been rock solid and works very well as a PC running a Multicade.

The AMD Graphics Driver is a bit "custom", which I'm not a fan of, but it works fine. The APU can do a decent job with low/mid settings on many games and excels with emulation.
