If you don't have a PS5 yet and don't care about the PS5 PRO hold your horses! Sony and other retailers usually bundle the PS5 console along with a free game included for the same price $449 during BF Holiday.
Four years in and we are still only getting remastered games. PSN Plus is now $79.99 a year, Sony also increased the prices of their controllers from $74.99 to $79.99. The worse generation of gaming ever.

This ps5 was my first console since ps3. The only two games I got were final fantasy 16 and ff7 remake/rebirth ( so I guess technically 3 games). They were amazing. But I don't see any other games I'm interested in. Maybe I'm just older and play a much smaller pool of games now between changing diapers and working to buy more diapers and spending time on slickdeals looking for diapers deals lol
How hard was it to get the $335 ps5 last year? I'm guessing it was limited and you're against a bunch of bots scrapper
Think that was from Target BF deal last year when they had it in stores. They were clearing out the older models to make room for the slim. Got the fat PS5 for the same price. This forum was lit up with people trying to get the slim for the same price. Only a handful got lucky. Probably almost crashed this site and Target's site.

I skipped the PS4 until the last smallest version of the console came out and I will do that for the all digital PS5 as well. Too honking big and expensive for far too little games this generation. Mostly unneeded remasters or remakes of old stuff exactly like Disney was doing with their catalog for nearly a decade. Although, the Dual Shock 5 controller's feedback features are pretty cool for a few games but you don't certainly don't need the console for that. This is a good deal for a young kid's first video game console if you can't wait for the holiday sales.

That's basically a majority of first party Nintendo games too on the Switch, wasn't until recently got different games that weren't released on the WiiU.

Sony has games at $69 dollars and $80/ year to pay freaking multiplayer. Sony fanboys are truly blind to the fact they're getting ripped off, truly a cult.
I paid 300 bucks in 2020 for like 15 years of plus lol. 20 a piece from cdkeys. Then they did the new tiers, it charged me another 150 for upgrade, but it upgraded all 15 years so I have ps plus top tier til 2035.
Don't know if it lets you stack them anymore like I did
450 dollars / 15 years =30 dollars/year 30 a year for me for ps plus platinum or whatever it's called

I certainly don't pay that much for new games. Price usually drops after a few months. Always find sales in stores or online. And I play mostly single player. No need for online. Got a PS5 for
$335.
But I have to say, Sony seems to be getting greedy now that they don't have to compete much with Xbox. With them raising the price on controllers. Charging $700 for the pro while selling the drive and stand separately. And selling the console covers for over $50. Just two pieces of plastic that probably cost $5 to make.

Regarding the Pro -- it is already $700 and without stand and disc drive so I will not think it's for the mass market.
However, it is interesting to wonder if there will be a bundle deal for it during Black Friday and holiday deals.
Because then, it would make more sense to wait a few weeks past its release date in early November. It has not sold out on the PlayStation Direct website, so there is no rush.
Most retailers holiday extended returns period begin in November, so that's a plus (although pre-orders start in Oct., release isn't until Nov). So the Pro should be covered.
We will have to keep an eye out for early Black Friday ads to be more sure. A bundle with even a stand would be welcomed.
As for the standard PS5, lots of holiday deals along with Pro owners trading in their Amateur models will make getting a PS5 a buyer's market. I plan on trading mine into GS if the credit is good enough, but if not, I'll have to undercut Target's pricing.

Agreed don't fall for this deal you'll regret it in about 6-7 weeks

Bought slim PS4 for $199 in bf years ago. There's so many PS4 game backlogs I got. I still got no reason to get PS5. I go to store and all these PS5 only games I never heard of and have absolutely no interest in. Even if the PS5 drops to $250 or something, I'm not sure if I'll get it…
