If you don't have a PS5 yet and don't care about the PS5 PRO hold your horses! Sony and other retailers usually bundle the PS5 console along with a free game included for the same price $449 during BF Holiday.
Four years in and we are still only getting remastered games. PSN Plus is now $79.99 a year, Sony also increased the prices of their controllers from $74.99 to $79.99. The worse generation of gaming ever.

"Usually" is a very skeptical word these days and I don't believe that's happened in 4 or 5 years.
On a different topic $700 for a PS Pro are you freaking kidding me!

I did the trade in recently. I realized that I wasn't playing PS5 as much anymore and it's getting very costly. Getting $380 back after owning this since launch is a pretty good deal, and I'll use the store credit for the Switch 2 when it comes out next year.
Also for those saying wait for BF bundle deal, there's no guarantee that retailers will offer a bundle at this price level. They typically charge $50-100 more than standalone console for the bundle and that it ends up costing almost the same as buying the stuff separately.

Digital version got price hiked from $399 --> $449 last year. So the new "sale" price on the digital version is just bringing it back to its original price lol.

Or just look online. People are selling their PS5's all the time if you're diligent. Picked up a slim disk edition a few days ago for $100 plus an old tablet I bought a couple years ago!
A console, biggest reason being multiple people could play at the same time for some games so no arguing over who gets to play. All 4 of you playing Bomberman at the same time would be a fun family activity.
VR is very cool initially but ends up collecting dust for most people, I would ask other parents who have one if you could borrow theirs to try out.
How hard was it to get the $335 ps5 last year? I'm guessing it was limited and you're against a bunch of bots scrapper
It was through Target at $350 (assuming people left out 5% red card discount) on only the fat PS5. It was only sold in store. Unless you stood in line on BF you didn't get the offer. Some people had luck price matching the slim bundle that just released.
Whatever you do don't do digital. The little saving gets eaten quickly once you can't buy games when other retailers have discounts or used games.
That is the sad truth. Good luck trying to trade in a digital game and they control the market price if we ever lose physical copies of games. Save the physical copies of games.
