For anyone out there who has not yet bought shoes from Walmart, you are probably better off spending about 30-40 for a New Balance or even something at Costco. Even at $12, most Walmart brand shoes are comfortable for about 2-4 months and then they deteriorate very rapidly. This is coming from a very experienced Walmart shopper who buys just about every kind of product generic at Walmart and has bought multiple different brand shoes from Walmart to test durability
Thanks! While I agree with you for the most part, I don't think Avia is a Walmart brand. It's possible these were made for Walmart though, I wouldn't know. I did buy some Holo brand shoes at Walmart from a previous post, and they were amazing. I loved them so much that I went back and bought a few more pairs. They were around the same price as these. Again, ymmv and might not be the case with these... maybe someone who has tried them will chime in?
Thanks for posting this deal, I Have been looking for cheap priced shoes to mow the yard with.

Thanks op. I bought 4 pairs Avia Men's Tenon O2 Air Performance Sneakers for $9.39 each in Beige color (only for size 9 which is my size). I really don't care about the choice of colors as long as it is the cheapest. It is only for my daily walk.

I bought a lot of Walmart shoes - and I disagree. As long as you know something about shoes, and you are selective - they can last a long time, not much shorter than name brands. One example is the knock-off Crox. I bought ~10 various size for about $4-5 each, all are good till today. Also bought several work shoes/boots, all good quality. Sneakers are generally of lower quality than name brands, but they can last quite a while if you are picky on selection.

Are the quick flash laced or slip on? So tired of shoe listings tucking the laces.

Careful suggesting New Balance I got a $190 pair from them. In less than a month the sole started to separate. I returned it to the store. The owner said "that shouldn't have happened I will talk to the company " a few weeks later he tells me to pick up my shoes hands me a bill for 40 bucks and the shoes. We argued (he blamed bike riding for the shoe splitting ). I ended up paying because he was going to keep the shoes if I didn't. Get home and at the seam there is excessive glue. That was my first and last new balance shoe. Also never shopping local for shoes again.

edit to be clear I have a 10+ year old Nikes that never split when riding the bike. My 8 year old Propet shoes are fine. (if you have wide feet check out Propet shoes.)

How can I tell if the shoes will last? I am not good at choosing shoes.

I'm a +1 for good experience with Avia purchased from Walmart. Stocked up many years ago when some at my local store were about $8 that was almost 10 years ago. I still have at least 3 pair that are still in good shape one has sat outside for About a year but I think I can bring them back to life by washing them and then I put a full 16.9 oz water bottle in it to air dry to keep the shape.

I'll definitely look into these to wear casually…. Since my hokas are used for work only.

Yep, I got the Avia Hightals when they were on sale for like $12. I walk my dog 4 miles a day and while they were comfy at first, after 2-3 months of use they were dead and caused feet and hip pain, only fixed after switching to more mainstream brands. Now I have a good rotation of Adidas Adizero SL, Nike Pegasus, Zegama and Invincibles not going back to cheaper shoes.

How is the durability after 500-600 miles? My old Asics and Hokas were still decently comfortable. Will I be able to be at my PRs in this? How does it compare to the Alphafly?
