"Slow release" and "Quick release" have both been possible on Instant Pots for a very long time...
Stop spreading rumors, I've had a instant pot for more than 10 years . And it always had a quick release.
Description shows

Worry-Free Safety Features: 11+ proven safety features including easy, one-touch steam release

The $10 target card is not free. Instead you are required to purchase it in order to get this deal. So the total before tax is $70.

That's not at odds with what he said. The old style doesn't have a button, it has a little twist lever on the jiggler weight. The new style has a separate button that lifts the jiggler weight. Both are capable of quick release, but the button is a lot nicer.

That said, the pictures on the product page show the button pretty clearly on the top, so I don't think this is the old style at all. It's just not the pro model with the rotary knob.

I bought mine on clearance for $30 at Walmart years ago. It's the copper bronze color, and I've seen other colors and styles (Disney, Pioneer Woman) also go on clearance, so you might be able to get it a bit cheaper if you don't care about style/color. Otherwise this is a very good price, but also wouldn't be surprised to see this come Black Friday deals next month.

Thx for info, just searching Disney instant pot and it was $80 full retail. The $60 sale price doesn't seem like such a great sale if the regular price is $80.

I'll probably either never buy one, or pick one up if I ever see it $30 & under. I think 6 qt is too small for me as well, so maybe if this was 8 qt I'd pay the $50.

On this instant pot can i do a slow cook pot roast like a crock pot orbetter with the ninja on sale at costco
I have an older 6 qt and the newer 8qt. They both suck for "crock pot" cooking. I use my old crock pot for roasts and other crockpot recipes that require the slow cooking. My problem was it would always be look warm at best on that setting.

I agree with you. Slow cooking is not good on instant pot

Can someone please explain (or provide a reading link to) why this is superior to owning (and using) a pressure cooker?

Me too. Gift card is included in the bundle, not extra.

This is a pressure cooker. It just has electrical control and features.
