This is SD. I think collectively there are few people here who think a $30 plain t-shirt is a good value, despite what they claim on the strikethrough.

Lulu makes great products, but plain t-shirts are not their main competitive advantage. That's just my $0.02. My unpopular first comment was that the logo needed to be bigger. And I still believe it -- simple shirts should at least be marketing efforts. Not from my perspective, but the company's.

I'd spend $29 on a luluman shirt over a $15 Uniqlo shirt in a heartbeat. Uniqlo has gone nuts with their prices for quality that has always been middling. The $5 target shirts are.mucj nicer than uniqlos offerings

Perhaps, but maybe not in the way that (I'm guessing) you mean - the person who spends $30 for their t-shirts is probably the one who is poor, because they spend unwisely, and the one who thinks that's ridiculous is probably less likely to be because they spend their money more wisely. Even if they both make the same income, the first person will have a lot less actual wealth. Note that this is a generalization not an absolute.
Or, to say it another way, the whole point of SD is to live wealthier than your income by paying less than others for the same stuff.

or perhaps the people who buy higher quality shirts (not saying lulu is high quality) which can be a bit more pricey will save someone money in the long run from not having to keep buying crappy quality shirts once they break down. I dont mind spending more on things if its going to last longer then the cheaper quality items.

some of the softest shirts i've ever boughten were from a slickdeal 32 Degrees ("MEN'S COOL ACTIVE T-SHIRT") for like $5.99 each...i have plenty of lulu shirts and other name brands to compare, so even on sale this seems excessive

What I want to know, is who makes shirts that aren't shit after wearing them for a year or two... I am not sure I care how much it costs, I just want something that stays soft and still looks new for more than a handful of washes

Agreed that a 32 Degrees shirt that I bought a few years ago feels very soft and similar to a few LLL shirts that I've found in thrift stores.

I also agree with the other comment that's basically says "Buy quality and cry once". I don't mind paying a higher price for something that lasts awhile and is durable. For shirts? Might or might not make a difference.
