Really good deal. Might drop more though when the newer generation CPU and GPU release soon.

This would be an amazing deal if it weren't Alienware psu/motherboard.
If you don't care about that it's a really good deal.

If the ram causes issues (as the poster above mentions) well, that's a bit concerning

I think Dell offers a 5% military discount for active duty and Vets.

I've seen AMEX offers for Dell in the past - might check your offers.

Isn't almost every motherboard 4 ram slots? This would take up only 2 as is...

New case design is 10000x better than the previous monstrosity they used for several generations. I had the old one and it wasn't just big and ugly but the interior space and airflow was that of a case 1/3 the size. Awful on every level.

This is actually a pretty good price but I'd love to see what the new processors that they're announcing next week are going too look like.

Just don't like these Dell scenarios they like you to buy from them.

Also this quote for future upgrade
" I'm not sure what graphics card you are thinking about down the road, but note that the R16 is currently maxed-out at RTX 4080 and does not have the option for any "K" processor. Dell is imposing these limits for a reason, no matter how many watts you have in your PSU."

Like I said unconfirmed quote but worth lookin into before purchasing. I'm sure people on here can clarify there are some really good computer people on SD
That person is wrong. These can be configured with a 4090. Personally, I bought an R16 for a relative and they've since upgraded their 4070 to a 4090. The idea that Dell enables some sort of super special setting in the bios to render a gpu/cpu upgrade is just downright silly. If you have the proper amount of power, the correct slots on the motherboard, you'll be fine.

In for one after deciding to go prebuilt. $1466 all in (CA tax).

Update - cancelled the order after reading the comments online + upcoming gpu / cpu grades hopefully driving the prices down 🤞🏼

Nothing Alien about their brand anymore, just a square case with a neon light

I just picked up one of these and scored a chase 10% cb, amex had one too.
It's a really nice rig I love It, but I do plan to upgrade with additional memory but it has a slot for m.2 and I'ma drop a fat HDD in there. And the ram one day too why not, but the 32 it has is plenty. Really happy with it
