Seems like a predictably random manufacturer: https://www.newegg.com/p/1DN-042Y-00146

If you're wondering, there's no reason you couldn't use this device with loads of other laptops, etc.

Good luck!

My understanding is the Steam Deck doesn't perform well docked.
It's exactly the same as the top TDP of the STEAM DECK is 15W which is the standard mode in portable play

Keeping in mind it's squarely aimed at portability and 720p as the undocked (screen) resolution, don't ask it to do 4k docked for games and be disappointed. Use upscaling with 720 as the native resolution for games or hook up a keyboard and mouse and treat it like you would a tablet for PC use, it works well.

For those wondering, yes, you can use this for the ROG Ally too and every other hand held PC. I am also sure the only reason why they claim it is not compatible with the Switch is because it has the USB C port on the bottom of the console. I am sure you could still use it with the switch, you would just need to not leave it on the docking station but rather next to it laying flat so you do not suffocate it.

Yes. Even with laptops. As long as you can connect the USB C to a USB C.

I've been looking for something like this for my MacBook since it only has two USB-C ports, one of which is used for the power cable. I run an external monitor during the week for trading, USB-C to DP, and would be nice to keep my mouse plugged in which would require something like this. Is this a good deal or is it just basically any of the same random name Chinese units I could buy on Amazon? Trying to avoid that

I have this same unit purchased for $20 under a different nonsensical Chinese brand name. Nothing wrong with it, but this isn't really a deal.

I miss the days when Woot actually had deals, not just random Amazon junk at normal prices.
