This looks amazing....but you should all be aware the two XT60 solar inputs on this can only handle 60v 25a each. It says 2400w charging but a 300w solar panel voc is usually around 32-38v and 14-15a. You could probably get a 500w panel and be at around 48-55 voc on each input and get 1000w solar input max. You might be able to Jerry rig an mppt in front of the existing mlpt but usually a bad idea. As just battery storage with a generator it could work well but the limited voltage solar input really cripples this product. If you had 500w on each input(1000w total) and crazy sunlight it would take around 7-8 hours to recharge this with solar alone. More realistically you would not have enough power to recharge it in a single day.

This is a great deal but I bought it from Anker hoping it comes to Florida sooner. The 30% tax break and free gifts makes it a little easier to swallow the price difference

$800 < than @ Anker.com. This will be replacing an older charge controller/4kW inverter/Trojan T-105s @ the farm. Thank you VERY much OP!

Yes but I can saying that 30% off the 800 price difference with free gifts makes it easier to swallow paying more money. A hurricane is gonna hit Florida in 3 days and speed for me is the most important factor right now. If no pressing need I would buy from welbots since they are an authorized dealer for Anker

What is the purpose of this? Disaster preparation? Charge it when the power is on?

I'd say realistically, without buying special panels, you can max out the amperage by putting every panel in parallel, which isn't ideal as it will cost more , fuses, branch connectors, thicker wire, but still doable. Probably would need 6 300-400w panels, with 3 panels in parallel in each string.. Most panels are around 35-40V, so 35-40V X 25A = 875-1000W x 2 solar inputs is 1750-2000W.

That is true, it looks like they annoyingly designed it for their $629(359 with code)/each folding solar panels at 57.6v and 8.33a...it looks like there are a few residential panels that hit similar specs as well but probably not that easy to obtain. Just couldn't use the plentiful 200-300w used panels i see around my area for like $40-$80.

The ps400? Which code to bring the panels to $359? Was thinking about getting one of those

Yes.. use it as an alternative to gas or propane generator. Only issue is that you need to charge it. I am buying this to power house when I am not home. Gas generator when I am home during major storm.
