I just received a 5700X3D from AliExpress for $135. Does not come with a cooler (it's a 'tray' unit) but thermals are all great and it performs exactly as well as it should. A fantastic upgrade from my Ryzen 5 2600.
Excellent deal for 5700X3D. Returned my 5700X3D I bought last week for $209 just in time for this deal. Excellent CPU for last gen. Hope it will last a couple more years.

If you bought it on amazon, amazon chat just gave me the difference.

Why would anyone trust a processor from AliExpress?

I've been an intel boy since Pentium 4 HT (technically, I think stepdad had a P2).
Will be playing old(er) games like WC3, LoL, Counter Strike. Will likely reuse current 6400xt
Currently running 6th gen i5 + 6400xt.and the games play mostly fine - except it seem CS seems to use some CPU as well and the game hiccups ever so often.
Will also use this machine as a backup for work (office+browser) and school (mostly browser).

But make sure you have a CPU cooler for 5800x.
I remember the box doesn't include a free AMD cooler.

- this CPU + cheap mobo + cheap 32GB ram = less than $250
- microcenter 12600kf + MSI Z790 Pro WiFi + 16GB DDR4 bundle = $259
