7.6 on Board Game Geek. It's a pretty solid wholesome and easy to play game. It's a good one to warm players up before hitting the real games for the night

Price wise it looks like I purchased this back in 2021 for about 12 bucks, so I would say if you've been looking to pick this up or enjoy word based party games, go for it!

it's an absolutely great game! The concept is pretty straightforward. However the challenge is getting to know what the other players are likely to offer as clues to the person trying to guess the target word. Matching anyone else's offered clue disqualifies them both. It generates some real creativity!

Played this the other week, it's pretty fun and easy to pick up, similar to codenames but more pressure as a guesser!

We love Codenames, would you say this is a better choice? It's currently ranked #3 party on boardgamegeek and Codenames as #5, but overall rank is #147 vs #142. Seems some people also played this by just re-using their Codenames cards and a whiteboard/index cards.

Codenames is subjectively a better game, but Just One is easier to play - was able to play this with people with limited English.

Using the Codenames cards for Just One is an interesting idea - might have to try it.

As someone who owns a few hudred board games, I can say that with non-gamers and gamers a like this is always a hit. At 9 bucks it is a steal.

Just One is essentially the word guessing game from Password or $10 000 Pyramid, only with multiple hint-givers (and the twist that any duplicate hints are lost), so its much simpler than Codenames. Honestly this is cheap enough that I think it's worth having the official box and components.

Love this game, but sometime gave this advice a while ago: it's basically worth it for the dry erase markers alone! I use them all the time.
