This is a great price on what still seems to be the best "budget" 4K projector, and it's 3D capable. I've got just over 600 hours on mine and it looks great. Very happy with mine. 3D looks amazing, just like a real theater.

yes, but amazon better return policy. Plus did you read the reviews of NFM on yelp and BBB.

My only thoughts would be a warranty plan since 1 year is nothing.

Repair costs range from 1000 to 1600 dollars which I probably would just put in trashcan at that point.

If epson gives 3 year warranty, I grab it for sure even at higher price.

For the 2200 range, this is the projector to get.

Lots of sites showing this new pricing. Epson website has the 5050UB new units for $2400 (discounted from $3000) and refurb units for $2300 (discounted from $2400). Too bad the refurbs didn't get a deeper discount -- would have been a no-brainer for me.
