I got one of these at aldi dirt cheap on clearance. It's actually pretty cool. Little to no smoke, nice flame, enough to roast marshmallows and sit around. Perfect for when you want a fire but don't want to commit to a whole firebowl. I've used it so far for fireworks night, back patio after dinner, busy astronomy event, soccer games with the kids etc.

The gel can cools rapidly. Stone stays too warm for travel for about 20 minutes. Still warm at that point but has been cool enough I can put it in a box and drive.

It seems cleaner to me than a regular fire for marshmallows. Idk 🤷 ♀️

Only downside is buying the gel cans. Small downside but it is an tangible expense. I feel it's the same if you buy firewood bundles or pay for propane so 🤷 ♀️

There is enough flame for warmth and to potentially cook small amounts of food a little at a time so for $15 you might also consider this a potable emergency fire source.

Use the cans for keeping food in chafing dishes warm for parties..cheapest have found are at Sam's (12 - 6 hours cans for $19..xx - https://www.samsclub.com/sams/sho...308)...FYI for someone who needs them
