I have the 55 inch version of this. NO complaints. I mainly use it for games. The one thing that I will suggest is that when you get this, after you install it, run the pixel refresh. Since these have been sitting in their box for over a year, there might be a little bit of variation between the pixels, which you will notice and wonder if you made a mistake buying it. The TV will automatically maintain its pixels over the years, but not when it's in a box and not plugged in, so just running that refresh from the menu one time will make it like new.

How do OLED's handle extended use over time? My 65" living room TV runs 12-14 hours per day as someone is always home (not me unfortunately).

I was looking at the Sony X90CL 65" form $1100 real hard vs the LG C3 as the Sony while not an awesome OLED, still has a solid picture but may be more robust???

It's also a bright room and the Sony is a lot brighter to fight glare.

I've also been looking at the X90L vs the C3. I have an open box deal near me for $795 which is a big savings compared to the C3 or 4...

I bought the Sony X90CL 65 a few months ago from Costco. I am happy with it, but I think I would rather have an OLED from a good manufacturer (Sony, LG, Samsung). When i bought the X90CL I thought OLED was too far away in price, but this is only $100 more than i paid. Or maybe $200.

I like my X90CL mostly. The sound settings are really annoying and glitch a lot. I returned a surround sound system because I was having so many problems, but now i suspect it was the TV. The picture looks great though. 4 HDMI is really handy. The internal speakers are decent, but still not as good as the basic 2.1 sound system I bought almost 10 years ago.

Good to know about the sound. I have a $900 pair of SVS Prime Wireless bookshelf speakers I hook up via eARC. I would hate if I could not use them with the Sony.

Since the c2 there's been almost no significant improvements to the C line each year.

Wow the prices of these have come down a lot. We have the 48CX 55C1 65C1 and 83C1. We picked up the 83" right after it launched for $6k w/tax, before anyone did any reviews on it. These TVs never gave us any issues and I'm shocked these TVs are so affordable these days. I am looking forward to getting another one.

Happy shopping to you all.

I have the 65" X90L that I use mostly for gaming and sports and it's very good. I'm in a dark basement though and if I recall correctly, the C3 is brighter. Check rtings spec review to be sure - they break it down and you can even compare that two side by side directly.

Will there every be a "decent" 65" OLED selling for $1k or less from a reputable dealer? I helped my Dad get an LG 65" from Costco a year ago and think he paid $1,300/$1,400 for it. Believe it was a B series and see that it's equivalent model is still $1,300 today.

Good deal. I bought it for 1500 last year with an extended warranty. However, I will personally never buy LG again because an update started pushing advertisements when you turn on the TV or leave it idle, which is an absolute slap-in-the-face to anyone dropping this kind of money on a TV.

Does the C3 use the "pointer" remote? Had one on a cheaper LG a while ago and drove me nuts.

It's adding the allstate protection plan automatically in my cart for $99 even though the description says it's included. Just remove it and gtg or are you actually needing to pay for it?

First dont use the Smart in any SmartTV. Get an Apple TV or something that doesnt monetize your viewing.

Second, there's a setting to turn off the ads.

They all do. You get used to it and in some instances is faster. Also, you can ignore it as the remote has the standard directional keys which work as normal.

It will still be a very long time before you find an 65" OLED tv at regular price of $1000.

I am sure, eventually a previous model year can be found on some YMMV (or maybe Greentoe) for $1000 or less.
