As to why Hestan cookware.. if you're looking for most safe (non reactive, no chemical or metal leak), light weight, quick to heat.. then this is the cookware that will last very long time.. it's stainless steel on steroid. Outside is a bonded layer of titanium and chromium which makes it 4x harder and very scratch resistant and easy to clean.

For people with nickel sensitivity or just don't want any possible metal leaking into the food this is the option that'll last a long time.. anything ceramic coated cookware will only last couple years and cast iron or carbon steel is just too heavy or require lot more maintenance.
it was quite a sticker shock for us too when we started looking to replace cookware but since covid we eat at home so much more so we started noticing the cookware wear out faster or just having nuisance that we started looking at a new set for our home.
eating out now cost us around $40- that is just a regular restaurant in Los Angeles. We have gone from twice a week to twice a month eating out so it makes more sense now
But yes, just wow .. cookware set $1000+ seems very ridiculous and took us couple months of research and research. When we saw this 'sale' we decided to jump on it.
