Didn't version 3 come out recently? And at a much smaller size?

Yes it's shaped different and slightly smaller but not a drastic difference. https://www.amazon.com/EF-ECOFLOW...ef=sr_1_3?

I'm looking for something like this for car camping but only having one USB-C seems so weird and limiting. I guess there are a lot of outdoorsy/lower tech devices you might need to charge that are more likely to come with a USB-A charging cable but still, everyone has a phone and so many people have tablets/watches/speakers/dedicated GPS devices that all have moved almost entirely to USB-C, these units just seem dated even though the River 3 just came out with the exact same design.

Most of these dont have more than two USB-C sockets. Use one of the two AC sockets and plug in an adapter with as many USB-C sockets as you'd like. Or buy a laptop or phone battery bank that has more sockets. Your use case is in car where I'd just get a good 12v adapter for my cig socket with multiple USB-C sockets.... which you could also use on this or buy 2 USB-A to USB-C cables and now you can charge 3 USB-C items.

I have this model and it works well picked it up used on ebay. Good for a one panel portable solar panel in the back of the jeep for emergencies.

The Anker solix c300 has 3 USB-C and 3 AC sockets, and still has a USB-A. Seems to me like that's a much more sensible design in the modern world. If I could get that with a solar panel for 200 I would, or if it dropped down to ~$150 on its own. Just gotta wait it out I guess

The version 3 would be better. It's less about capacity, because a modem/router doesn't have much draw. It's more about the time to switch over to backup, which is improved in version 3. Many said version 2 would be ok, but others said theirs had issues - all anecdotal. If a company improves a spec, that tells you it wasn't great for backup and needed to be improved.

River 2 or river 3? The only difference I can see is size and 256Wh vs 245Wh. Not very edgumakated on these things. Thx!

Why don't these bundles ever come with larger panels for faster charging? They're always pair with half the solar panel size.

Yeah this solar panel is a joke. You can get flexible 130W panels for 60 dollars on ebay... 40W is a joke, you'll be lucky to get 30W.

Could you share a link a to a good one?

I found this 2x100 watt on Amazon for $100.

Is this good and would it work with this bank?
Would you recommend 12v or 20v? Thanks

Anyone know the shelf life of this thing? Looking to keep it in the storm shelter (doesn't get hot or cold) for an IF NEEDED type thing.

They recently had a 130W flexible ecoworthy solar panel. In fact I've got 8 of them. It was 55 w coupon on ebay, might be slightly higher now. [ebay.com]

If you are handy its not too hard to rig up a lightweight frame that will hold the solar panel up. What I do is use magnetic eyebolts with caribeners and that holds the panel up using the 4 grommets.
