I was able to grab it for $621.31 with the $75 3 years warranty from Homedepot. Hopefully this is a legit generator.

I bought one of these for full price last year. It's heavy and loud, but it always starts up and runs my fridges, tv/computers/network gear, chest freezer, and a small 5000 btu window ac with no problem. Wish I would have gotten it at this price instead but oh well. It's good for a $500 gasoline generator.

I have had this in my cart since this was posted. Looks like a $700+ generator. I would have bought this already if it were dual fuel. Really looking for something in the $200-$300 range and missed out on the last firman refurb deal.

I bought one of these about 12 years ago when an ice storm took out a bunch of power lines in our area. We were without power for about a week. I paid $800 for it at the time and was lucky to get it. It's been flawless. I can pull it out of my basement after sitting for 2 years and it will start on the first pull. Just be sure to change the oil after the break-in period. Drain the gas before putting it into storage. And turn the gas valve off while it's running and let it stall til it shuts off. That keeps gas from sitting in the gas line. Good luck!

Many reports of generator stop running after some period of time. The reviews of it turning off is common on a lot of generators with CO sensors. Just google bypass generator CO sensor in order to determine if the problem is with the sensor or if it's something else.

I jinxed....finally unboxed today, put everything together, followed the checklist...cranks a few times with choke open and half way. No luck at all..not even a second running. I even got my dad try to crank it and still no sign of it even on...Gotta waste more time to get an exchange...

I have an older model of this.
The UPS's in my house, do not like the output from these.
So once the generator is up, I have to unplug the network gear from the UPS and into the wall directly.
Kind of defeats the purpose.
My next generator will be on the inverter style, quiet, dual or tri-fuel.
Unless I have to replace the UPS first, which I will replace the UPS with the ECOFLOW DELTA 3 Plus.

Sorry to hear that. The new generators have that CO sensor. I'm not too familiar with them but I keep hearing about people bypassing them because they turn the motor off. Make sure the fuel line shut off valve is in the open position and you may want to spray some gas into the carb to see if it will kick over.

Fuel line valve was switch to open position. Only thing I didn't try is spray some gas into the carb. Well Homedepot end up sending their people to pick up and make me reorder through an return process instead of exchange. Today saw a few others brand on sale from Homedepot. I wonder whats the occasion for generators to be on sale.

Returning it is probably the best thing to do. You really don't want a generator that's hard to start during a crisis. It should be reliable. I've read some newer reviews of this model and other people have had problems start it right out of the box. That's disappointing to hear. My older one has been good. Or maybe I was just lucky... Yeah, that's interesting that there's been a lot of generators on sale lately. I don't know what that's about. Maybe overstocked and need to move them. Tractor Supply has a few on sale like this Generac: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc...5-epa-50st
