Cool bike for somebody wanting the more aggressive mountain bike look with more upright seating position vs having a urban comfort cruiser looking bike. It's Bosch powered with Shimano drive train and brakes. Also has a good stock chain. Not the most aggressive front fork but quality enough for maintaining stable steering on smoother trails. I never rode it or own an Orbea bike but appears to be a Good find. Decent components.

Just started shopping for an ebike, seems 400Wh is a fairly small battery compared to others I've seen in this price range.

Counterpoint: The bike weighs only 50 lbs.

Battery size and range anxiety are a real concern for those who have throttled bikes and want to go fast without pedaling, but on a class 1 pedal assist ebike like this it becomes less important.

I was also a bit concerned about battery capacity when I bought the Yamaha Wabash RT recently (great bike for the $1,679 price). I was comparing it to my rear hub drive bike, but the mid drive is far more efficient. The Wabash has 500 w/h and can easily go 50-60 miles on medium levels of assist. I'm mostly using the lowest power level.

Where do you see that? I see 20% off one full priced item with the code TRAILDAYS and 15% off Marzocchi suspension.

EDIT: Nvm - it's 15% off with email sign up but it only works for full priced items

Wouldn't actually call this an eMTB. Orbea lists it as everything but MTB in the specs (XC, Bike Path, Adventure, Gravel). It does have a slightly more MTB look and would be fine for a beginner on easy single-track but if you're looking for an eMTB that will be solely used for MTB, this isn't it.

Unfortunately, ebike industry is not doing well right now. Inventory levels, as a whole, far exceed demand. As more and more companies struggle to survive, expect to see more and more price cuts.

Yep, Yamaha has a bunch of their bikes over half off with an exta battery and a 5 year battery warranty.

Is there a way to unlock this to be a level 3 bike. Looking to commute with it and will need to do a 4 mile stretch with cars that go 25-30 mph. I would feel safer going the speed of traffic.
