Costco review describes these quite well "Despite incredible price I don't understand where these headphones can be used as a best solution. The sound quality is good but not even close to a top level audiophiles quality headphones. ANC and comfort not as good as at cheaper competitions. So I returned them even nothing was wrong with these headphones, just nothing goes right as well." you're better off with the XM5 or XM4 deals posted lately

Best solution for what? XM4 and XM5 are not considered audiophile headphones.

Probably best all around headphones for casual users, not audio snobs.

Don't most of audiophiles consider none of Bluetooth headphones to be audiophile anyway? lol

I actually didnt know about these until i did a deep dive into over the ear headphones last week. For 200 dollars this is a heck of a biy. I just ordered a pair. If they suck then i return them!

If these sit on the ears like the older BW design - no good. It clamps the ears and it becomes painful within ten minutes. For best comfort - get the Bose Quiet Comfort. Sound quality on neither of these wireless headphones is even closer to audiophile - I would suggest just to get wired 4 or 5 driver earbuds (balanced armature and diaphragm hybrids) which naturally will plug in your ears and insulate from outside noise.
For wireless, probably best money/quality choice for anyone is just to buy Apple AirBuds Pro and call it a day. Otherwise, I can suggest Focal Utopia Smilie Smilie

I own this. Sound quality is incredible. I used this in 24 hour trip. NC is decent enough. It beats Sony/Bose in sound quality. For me NC is not that important as i don't need it every day as i use it mostly in quiet place anyway. But for long flights it is does more than a decent job. Couple of minor quirks. B&W 10 oz Bose & Sony are 9 oz weight. So you may feel little heavy in comparison. Another thing is control switch on the headphone. It is somewhat unusual. But once you get used to it you won't find that as a quirk. I also use it to watch movies at night connecting to my TV. It definitely gives you immersive experience.

Absolutely agree with you...
In audio world Sony and Bowers & Wilkins doesn't even come close...
I use my PX8 with pleasure and consider it as a best bluetooth NC headphones I ever had...
Didn't use Px7 S2,but used Px7 which was very good(better then XM4 and XM5)...Iam not even talking about build quality, where Sony is S**T...

Brands like Sony can get away with cheap build because of their brand name. B&W build quality is top notch.

Going to ask even though it's a long shot, but can anyone attest to the ANC not giving you nausea? XM4 makes me super nauseous almost within a few minutes of wearing them and these B&W's apparently do not. Thanks ahead of time.

So I have the sony MX5 and I bought these because of the price.

My thoughts are.

1. They feel lighter
2. The sound quality is better
3. I think Sony has the better app.

Highly recommend.

These lack some of the newer technology such as
1. Spatial audio
2. Dynamic head tracking
3, Dolby Atmos
4. Wear detection
I think $199 is now Costco's every day price.

These might be important to some people, but I am buying a headphone, I'd prefer to cut all these features for higher value price ratio product.
