Though you do end up saving a few dollars, I would personally go a different direction for cpu cooler/PSU selection.
Trying to put together ideas for my son to build his own PC. Any suggestions on a case/cooler/power supply that he could get? We are budgeting about $1200 and am looking at a 4070 Super GPU, AMD 7700. To give you an idea of specs we are shooting for. There was a decent bundle for the processor, board and RAM at microcenter we are going to go with.

The Corsair 750W PSU that is listed on Slickeals is a great match for those parts.
You could make this combo work and it would likely be "fine" but the PSU in particular isn't a good place to skimp when putting in higher power GPUs these days - and the 4070 Super is dipping into that territory.
This seems like a better deal for am4/Intel builds, better cooler, 4 fans, case has glass front though which can be a bummer, I'd print a different panel if it was me
This combo is interesting too if you don't like looking at your components through glass
6 fans,GPU support stand, vertical riser compatible. Full mesh I for one like that combo https://www.newegg.com/Product/Co...bo.4727006
