How easy are these to install? I have the eufy universal lock that just replaced my original but kept the existing hardware, is this similar?

It's not that difficult to install. There's a template included where you can mark your holes for the handle.

If someone really wants to get in they won't bother with your prints they will just break a window.
I never understand the extra paranoia around fingerprint locks when realistically no lock will save you from a determined bad actor.

This is very tempting. we don't have enough room on the side of our door for a normal ring or eufy camera doorbell. This seems like a good option. Anyone have it that would recommend it? How is battery life on it?

Not sure what you mean since this still has some bulk on both sides of the door when installed.

We don't have a good amount of trim to mount your typical ring sized doorbell. I thought this mounted on the door?

ah i see. Yes, this mounts to the door by replacing the deadbolt. Just make sure your door has the standard clearance between the deadbolt and door handle. I had to learn the hard way and replaced my door. Sounds stupid but i was planning on replacing the door eventually anyways.

Not just fingerprint, any smart lock will have comments of "criminals will hack this"; yeah I'm sure they know how to exploit tech vulnerabilities or will learn that over breaking a window or going to the next house

Bought this last year for $100 more. Honestly is a fantastic lock. Only thing I wish was that user codes could be autogenerated and connected to airbnb like Schlage.

what parts of the country is it commonplace to NOT have a screen door or storm door in front of your exterior doors? (which would make a deadbolt mounted camera and doorbell useless)
