I have this headset and it doesn't have the Apple's H1 or H2 chip set, which means there is no seamless switching between apple devices. You would need to manually select your device which is a huge flaw of this device.
Even their Beats Solo Pro, came out in 2019, has the H1 chip in it.
Nothing annoys me more than listening to a movie or a music track and then I go to pickup my phone for a hot second, scroll through reddit/fb or a news website. Some stupid autoplay kicks in and it switches my headphones to my phone and pauses the movie/music I was listening to.
It's always the damn autoplays that somehow managed to turn on a track, or if I pickup my phone to play a poorly written game, and a music track kicks on, boom, switches right to that.
I have the bluetooth icon in the menubar, if I want to switch it, I just click it. Super easy, I don't want the automated switching.
Maybe a stupid question -- but I have a 10 year old pair of Beats Pro headphones (when they were under Beats By Dre, not apple) and enjoy those. I have a few other higher-quality headphones (sennheiser, bose) but the Beats Pro have their own place.
Are these "Beats Studio Pro" any better? worse?
The Beats Pro sold for $499 back in the day, and the Studio models were a step below. I haven't heard of these Studio Pro until now
Can you elaborate more why you wouldn't want the Seamless switching between apple devices?

Obligatory post about the build quality being awful. Began cracking immediately after the warranty period, as someone who babies their headphones. Month 12.1 they were cracked a little bit and would snag my hair on every use, by month 13 they were literally unusable. Only pair of headphones to ever do this and I have multiple even cheaper wireless Sonys that I've had for 5 years that have no issue as daily gym headphones(using WHCH700Ns right now…). Bose QC 45s are much better in every way.

I bought and returned the studio 3's because they sounded faded. So I bought the Bose 700 based on multiple reviews. They haven't arrived yet. Just wondering if anyone has compared these two.

I just realized I didn't explain earbuds as AirPods/AirPod pros that could fall out and get lost!
