Based on pricing history on Keepa, it's been $269.99 unless I'm missing something

This seems like a great deal. The durability rating of the drive is 3000TBW, and it has dram and a 5 year warranty. I cancelled my order of Crucial P3 and ordered this one instead… crucial 4TB for $199, and it is only rated at 800TBW for durability, doesn't have dram, and speed is only 5000, vs 7400 on this drive. Great deal!

This is simply the lowest price ever in 2024 for a 4TB Gen4 NVMe SSD with DRAM. Suck it up.

Dang, I jumped the gun and ordered the 4TB 990 Pro, how's this one compared to the 990? Should I return that one and get this?

I don't know. I ordered this one before really researching it thoroughly, saw some reports of spontaneous controller failure, but that may have been on earlier versions of the drive. Regardless, it has a 5 year warranty so I'm still gonna go with it, just going to make sure I only use it for my Steam library basically. Something that's easy enough to replace if I ever have to RMA it… hopefully I won't have to, as it seems like a really great value

Looks like it's been as low as $185 and as high as $280 looking at the pricing history.

Some of the deal posts mention the controller on the SSD has/had issues that would brick the drive.

Maybe you don't see the same page on SD I do... check the price history that is located... on this page. Right at the top under price intelligence. Weird.

Afaik the SD app doesn't show price history, so you may actually be seeing something different than other people on here if you are using the website.
