When I was adding it to my cart, Amazon also displayed a 30% off upto $30 for using discover (sold and shipped by amazon requirement). Activated it for an additonal $26 off. Discover also has 5% off category for amazon and target Oct-Dec. Total shipped was $62 Was in the market for something cheap and with discover coupon, made a no brainer.

They have these at our local menards they let you use to cut down lumber. I love using it. I prefer it to my $500 Dewalt. 5000k rpm and really quick acceleration makes quick work of hardwood and it actually feels more powerful than the Dewalt. That said, the Dewalt definitely has a better build and feels much more sturdy.

I have one of these; I know nothing about the intricacies of saws, but after 5 years it's still cuts great and has been handy to have around the house.

It's back! I bought last time with Wiha being the seller. Grab yourself a machinist's right angle, do some calibrations, and do some home projects. This is a great price for a decent miter saw that can do most cuts.

I have this. Got it in 2021. Love it. Now I need a sliding one which angles both ways.

For the price this Japanese saw is a no brainer.

Hitachi METABO HPT Tools generally are excellent. I have their framing and brad battery nailers and I love them.

This Metabo (formerly Hitatchi) mitre saw is surprisingly good for DIY projects around the house. I wanted a cheap mitre saw to do some trim and crown in my kitchen remodel. At this price range, I expected something on par with barely useable HF budget tools but my expectations were definitely exceeded. Out of the box, the deck was as flat as I could hope for and it cut close enough to accurately that I didn't bother making any adjustments.

This saw is NOT made in Japan. From the pictures of boxes I've seen, they come from either China or Malaysia.

While Hitachi is still a Japanese company, they sold off their small power tools division to the global investment conglomerate KKR who renamed Hitachi Power Tools to Metabo HPT, since the German brand Metabo was also in their portfolio.

My local Lowe's price matched this, worth a shot if you need it now instead of waiting for shipping.
