Good price for this saw and the convenience of being able to order it online, but also maybe worth checking your local Lowes to see if any still have them on clearance. Select Lowes had these in-store only on clearance for $329 randomly over the past year or so and also the much bigger 545 Mark II for $383 (I went for that one).

Gotta love all the Sithl fanbois that had to post in here. I have an MS250, when it runs well, its a great saw. But its a MFer to start compared to an Echo or Husky, as is getting parts for them. Yes, if you are still stuck in 1985 and like to go to your local dealer and wait for them to order a part for you, parts support is great. If you want to order parts online and have them show up in a day or two, Stihl is not for you, they do not allow any OEM parts to be sold online.

This saw is a beast… picked one up a few years back to clear trees on our property and it handles hardwoods like a champ.

Would highly recommend.

Chainsaw deal I upvote. This is a great saw. I would check your local lowes to see if they Echo's on clearance first though. They have Timberwolves on clearance for $235 (59ccs).
Edit: Not Lowes I meant Home Depot.

Looks like some great deals on the husqvarna 40v battery-powered chainsaws, too… I have the kobalt 80V and use that constantly for regular cleanup and have fell some pretty decent size trees with it when I don't feel like getting out the gas saw.

For the same price, the Stihl MS250 is a better saw. Bar is smaller but the saw will perform like a true powerhouse.

I bought mine factory direct reconditioned from Husqvarna on eBay for less, and I love it. Great deal either way though.

I'm a Stihl Fan Boi, but a MS250 is a smaller motor
.
This saw here is more equivalent to the Farm Boss MS-271 that is around $500.

With that said buying a Stihl from a good dealer and having customer service that stands behind their saws is better than Husky's warranty service.
