I have similar Tapo cams with solar. Yea, there is no continuous recording (anymore apparently for my cams) but whatever. They were cheap from Costco. Easy install and forget about them.. solar keeps them topped up. I may add a couple continuous recording non-battery cams in the future; however, living in a safe gated suburban community near a big high school with police presence makes these battery cams an easyyyyy install and relatively affordable motion sensing camera alternative to non-battery powered cams.

This is 300% over priced. I have multiple cameras that come with solar panels, with the about 350 degree motion. Literally all the same features as this one, never paid more than $50. They're definitely tricking people with the inflated ratings into thinking this camera is worth the price.

For what its worth. It sounds like thieves had learned to jam wifi signals to make these pointless fyi.

Wifi is definitely easier and cheaper to deploy, but with more reports of wifi jamming idk how much it makes sense.

Did you miss the part where it has local storage?

Reolink is heavily promoted.
Paid reviews
&
promoted /boosted here on forums.
Doesn't mean all their stuff is bad, but it does add an extra element of buyer beware as the "deals" are often adverts

Shocker, I have an immediate inclination to pass once I start seeing Vine reviews. It's become a disingenuous program where folks keep handing out glowing reviews to keep getting free stuff.
I wish i could give disingenuous reviews for free stuff like this

I think all these companies should start trade-in offers for cams.

I can't speak for this camera but I have the reolink doorbell and am loving it over the ring doorbell. Better image quality, more options, and no monthly fee. The only downside I noticed it takes a few seconds to load a video I selected on the app.

been using their older versions basic wifi with onboard sd storage since 2019. I still have 2 of the cameras out of 4. 2 ended up dead after a few years and what seemed to kill them was trying to make them continuously record.
I also have a pan tilt zoom version that isnt as new as the one in the deal but its definitely better than the older ones. I might try out their tracking recording ones if/when it goes on sale.
Regardless of wifi the onboard storage is nice you can review footage through the app provided there isnt an wifi issue. I have accessed them while travelling domestically and internationally and they were fine.

Anyone know if this is capable of producing a local RTSP stream? Apparently some Reolinks can and some cannot. I am about to return another Reolink camera because I can't grab an RTSP stream.

LOL, please show some links to a PTZ 4K camera using solar that can record 24/7 continuous that's $50 and under.
