Yea worth a try at this price, I have stacks of lavazza to get through though lol
Want to get beans for drip coffee maker, normally I prefer a medium roast. How is this flavor? Bitterness?
I used to get the 3lb bags of this flavor or the rainforest blend at Costco, depending on which they had (usually $16-18). Flavor is good but it's definitely more bitter/acidic than other coffee we buy regularly. I'd say this has a similar flavor profile to Starbucks beans, for whatever that's worth to you.
I'm not sure if it's because of the clear plastic or what, but the beans from SF Bay always wind up looking oily/shiny compared to other beans, that might have something to do with it.

French roast is usually more bitter than normal and has a burnt taste.
San Francisco Bay coffee is pretty good IF you can get it fresh (Beans dark and oily)
Amazon usually sends out borderline stale coffee.
I like it, it's my "go to" coffee at home. It is a french roast so it is a bit bitter, but it doesn't have the Starbucks burnt taste. Usually I pay around $17 from Costco for it.

amazon coffee has been good and bad for me. All were within the expiration dates . Probably due to hot warehouses. Some has been just great, others tasted old . The bad ended up in my garden
