I might pull the trigger on this one. I was considering not getting a gaming laptop in general because of the concerns of heat and weight but this machine seems pretty balanced.
Some of the things that are of interest to me:
1) Screen is ok
2) 4060 is great to have when you want to game.
3) The laptop runs cool in balanced mode while gaming while only loosing only ~6% performance.
4) The Ryzen 8845HS has an IGPU so you can switch to it to increase the battery life when your not gaming. Battery life is 3-5 hours on the 4060 and up to 7 hours with the IGPU.
5) The Ram is upgradable (2 slots) and it comes with 1 slot populated with a 16GB module.
6) It has 2 Nvme SSD slots.
7) The chassis feels overall nice quality, top is aluminum, keyboard area is ok plastic, the bottom is crappy plastic.

This is making me consider canceling my order from Lenovo that's been stuck in waiting to be shipped. Got the same laptop but 4070 and 240hz/500nits screen for $1200.

Those who see out of stock or got their orders canceled, did you not have Walmart+ by chance? Just curious if that matters.. I'm a member and was able to place the order like 30 mins ago

I have paid Walmart+ (not free trial) and it shows OOS. I think the stock availability is regional.

I feel like the 2k screen is too much for the 4060. What do you all think?

I held that opinion too, but I wanted to support it so I looked at a comparison of laptop 4050, 4060 & 4070 performance and it suggested that both the 4070 and 4060 are suitable for 1440 gaming, and that 4070 works for 4k gaming at some settings and 4060 works for 4k gaming with less demanding titles.
