Just FYI this set is a much smaller set, so once you get through a handful of packs you're going to see lots of dupes, better to buy singles much earlier into this one at 64 card set (excluding illustrations etc) vs. a typical 200+ card set

Thank you for this heads-up. Does it even worth to start collecting this set? I don't see much pretty cards in this series. Should I just skip this one?

I bought this ETB since I have not opened any shrouded fable packs yet but yes, it is a relatively smaller set compared to other ones. I wouldn't buy it if you are looking just to keep it sealed. I have a feeling these will go for $25 around black Friday or X-mas.

Shrouded fable is one of the semi/narrative sets. It's small so the value in it is going to be looking for the really rare versions of cards. The commons and uncommons there are gonna be a tremendous amount so they won't be worth anything, but it's nice if you are just trying to bulk out your deck with specific ones like that cause you can get them cheap. The recent full set is Stellar Crown. I just play, not hardcore collect so I don't know a ton about stuff like avg value or chase cards or whatnot though.

I haven't opened any of SF neither. I agree with you. I may just wait for Black Friday deal or skip this set. I may need to put more money on Surging Sparks or Stellar Crown.

Thank you. Personally I just don't like this set of cards. But the price seems so attempting. I paused my opening packs habit at Paldean Fates. I also want to start with Stellar Crown.

Download the Collectr app - does a great job of updating market rates and you can judge what's good or what's not, since that's totally subjective.

The next most sought after set is thought to be the one likely coming out after Surging Sparks (which comes out next month). In January you'll likely see a set focusing on the eeveelutions. Think Evolving Skies type hype, but probably with a higher print.

The sale was running the same days as prime was having their sales too (2 days). I'd check again around black Friday , might be even cheaper.
