These are being discontinued in favor of the newer Searwood series, which fixes a lot of the SmokeFire's design flaws.

Very good deal. I've had one since it came out. Keep it clean and you'll never experience grease fires like some will chime in about here soon.

I've probably had a grease fire on every pellet grill I've owned, I'm very lazy with cleaning them out. So anyone that chimes in about this one catching fire if you bring it too high and don't clean it out, same happened with my traeger ironwood and gravity 850.
850 broke, I'm in for one of these! I almost jumped on the larger one for 900 but my next expensive grill I kinda have my heart set on a yoder

My Condo HOA recently baned gas grills but electric grills are ok. Would this be considered electric since it had to be plugged in?

I guess technically. Electricity moves the pellets from the hopper and electricity heats the heating element that causes the pellets to burn and smoke. I would just move if someone is going to tell me I can't have a gas grill. That's insane.

They probably banded it because of the smoke you plug this in to feed the pellets It's not a gas grill it uses pellets. So yes, this is gonna smoke.

Too many complaints of dead motors in short periods of time in the reviews.

Just ask if you can smoke on your patio

It's banned because it's likely on a patio and charcoal/gas grills on patios are huge fire hazards. Depending on your area, local laws may prohibit them anyway. Condo HOAs are very difficult to insure as well so it's possible the only insurance options available will not insure if they allow gas/charcoal grills on patios.

Grills are usually banned due to flame. There are no flames involved, so technically, it should be allowed.

The real question is regarding your HOA enforcement. Are they Karens? That's all it boils down to.
