3 years old and a new one is rumored to come out next month. I saw one of these in an Apple Store and the jelly scrolling was very noticeable too.
I love the size of this but $350 is too steep. I though would react to $250 with a smile on my face.
I think it's the difference between me carrying it around the house and doing "blank all" on it vs what I did with my 2021 iPad - gave it to my kid for the days that they're allowed tablet time in our house as it was too big for me to be lugging around like a fool

Yeah, 60Hz kills it for me after getting used to 120Hz on all my devices. My Lenovo P11 Pro Gen 2 with a 120Hz OLED display looks so much better than any iPad, and I got it for a bit over $200.
Also, another thing that really bugged me about the iPad Mini that made me eventually sell it is the lack of a decent oleophobic coating. The surface is terrible to slide fingers on compared to any of my android phones and tablets. It is much more "grippy", which totally ruined the touch experience for me. I believe Apple did this on purpose to make their pencil work better with the iPad.
The only thing I really liked about my iPad Mini 6 was the size and weight. Hard to find many tablets in this form factor. For that one reason alone, the iPad Mini is a great option for consuming media or handheld gaming, especially with an expanding game controller.
64gb isn't much unless you just plan on web browsing and streaming and using cloud storage. I went with a refurbished iPad Mini 6 with 256gb from Target for $419 last year through their website. They sell out fast so you may have to check everyday or so to get one. Mine appeared to be just a return and never used. If you get a dud, you can return it to your local store.
had the 64GB.. returned it.. after installing some apps and 2 games.. i couldn't even install the OS update without having to delete some apps.... what is the point of getting an apple product, for the apple ecosystem, if you can't even use apps bc there isn't enough space lmfao. ppl who say, "well I never install anything so 64bg is good for meeeee uwu" could easily just be fine with a cheap 100 android or a used ipad for $50.... if you're not using the ecosystem.. there is no point in paying apple tax. 64gb is 100% worthless. that said, i'd buy one for $150.. that's about what these are worth

I agree. I think these should have released at $399 not $499
64GB... no thanks. At that capacity, this is a useless product for most people. As a $150 toy? Sure, maybe. $350 is ridiculous and the list price of $500 is comical. They may as well make it "a billion dollars".
We as consumers should STOP buying 64GB so Apple realizes to produce any ipads with 128GB as base model. 64GB selling these days is a bad idea and lot of e-waste in quick time.
Apple say they are environmental friendly by XXXX year, and otherside manufacturing these 64 GB versions become e-waste in quick time.
