Mine lasted 1.5 years in the garage before the video feed stopped working. Had no luck with swapping/reformatting the SD card. Eufy couldn't offer a repair/replacement since it was past the 1 year warranty. I took it apart, and couldn't see any damage (blow fuses/burn marks). Once I put it back together it worked the same as before, no visual feed. Audio & oration still worked though.

Is the humidity too high in the garage ?because this is for indoor only.

it's $28. who cares.

$28 is probably borderline for whether i'd bother to return to amazon even if it didnt work out of the box. let alone 1.5 yrs.

No web view, last I checked. Black would be an advantage, but OOS.

I have this mounted on the outside of my house under awning. Granted not a lot of rain in California but has lasted years

i have 5+ of these still running fine since 2018, indoors. All streaming RTSP feeds to Home Assistant with Motioneye add-on for a self-hosted home security DVR system, with motion tracking. The human/pet/other tracking is decent. You can also disable tracking movement if you want a fixed camera angle. You can use the Eufy Security app or web site to view streams and view recordings, if you dont want to get fancy with DVR. Picture quality is good, audio is OK.

I've had several of these for years, and one of them just broke the other day. Seems like something in the motor broke off, causing the camera not to move anymore. Overall these are good cameras and HomeKit secure video compatible

Viewing recordings on the web portal requires a subscription.

Wouldn't trust eufy with any security things after their lies and security gaps last year.

Not the snapshots when they detect activity. You can view it on their app or on the web (but require code from the app everytime you open a session).

I have Eufy cameras all over the house, both outdoors and indoors. They work pretty well but don't record continuously.

Not true. Recordings can be stored on the SD card and viewed any time through the app/portal 100% free, no subscription.
