Great price - got in on the bristol fog deal at $279 and the guitar is amazing. If you're even remotely thinking about it, this is a really nice buy (of course... at this rate, who knows if/when it'll go lower).

I did the six-screw mod on mine, https://www.gretsch-talk.com/thre...ps.172956/, and I'm not sure if it helps with the clarity or not but the output is definitely less lol. These black top broadtrons definitely runner hotter so if you want to tame it a bit, the six-screw mod is a good way to do so. A lot of guys swear by the increased clarity but I'm wondering if it's because of the lower output where they aren't hearing break-up like they might have been hearing before?

Great price - got in on the bristol fog deal at $279 and the guitar is amazing. If you're even remotely thinking about it, this is a really nice buy (of course... at this rate, who knows if/when it'll go lower).

Has anybody bought one of these and restrung it for left handed use? Keep seeing these awesome deals, but their left left handed guitars rarely get a sale like this lol.

It's funny. I was thinking that if this color Gretsch was on sale, I'd buy it. I don't even play guitar. I just thought it looked cool. I ended up buying it last night. I guess I'll have to learn to play now. 🤣 It gets here Friday.

Don't forget to get a decent amp. When it comes to tone and sounding good, it turns out the amp is more important than the guitar.
