Great price - got in on the bristol fog deal at $279 and the guitar is amazing. If you're even remotely thinking about it, this is a really nice buy (of course... at this rate, who knows if/when it'll go lower).

I did the six-screw mod on mine, https://www.gretsch-talk.com/thre...ps.172956/, and I'm not sure if it helps with the clarity or not but the output is definitely less lol. These black top broadtrons definitely runner hotter so if you want to tame it a bit, the six-screw mod is a good way to do so. A lot of guys swear by the increased clarity but I'm wondering if it's because of the lower output where they aren't hearing break-up like they might have been hearing before?

I just got my guitar. I opened it up and it sure is a pretty instrument. I am still wondering why I decided to buy it 🫣 but with the advice here, I'm going to start that Justin's Guitar stuff on YouTube. I'm excited ! 🥳

You definitely can learn on a right handed guitar playing left but there are reasonably priced left hand guitars out there. Also a single cut like this one isn't the best for a lefty either (bad upper fret access). Proaudiostar.com has some decent deals on leftys often and some other stores as well.

My dad is a lefty and just learned to play right handed guitars. So it's doable.

Somebody linked a hard case that's $60 after shipping. I ordered it for my G5220, but won't know how well it fits until I get the guitar and case. Likely won't know until Friday. It is meant for GLP style guitars, so it should fit decently. I'll update when mube arrives.
