Be aware the Costco return policy does not apply. If you don't like them, you will be charged return shipping and cannot return to a Costco store.

I returned a pair of these. Not because of sound quality or anc, rather they fit too tight on my head. They put pressure under my ears that was too uncomfortable. I didn't want to return them but I did. Now I have Sony xm4's. I like the soundcore app better than the sony app. The anc and audio quality on both were about the same for me. The sony are more comfortable, but that will differ between people. For the $$, I'd go with the q45's.

These are great headphones for the price BTW. My boss gifted me with some Bowers & Wilkins PX7 headphones some time back for some company flights I had to take. I liked noise cancelling so much on the plane that I wanted to get a pair for my wife. The B&Ws were way too expensive, so I went with the Q45s and I almost like them more.

People comparing these two sony and bose and claiming these don't come close clearly never put these on...these are not your typical cheap "ANC" headphones...I bought these last time costco had a deal(slightly more than this price) and I was shocked how good they were. I also own xm4s and had bose in the past...while these are not at that level, they are VERY VERY close....I also never noticed a drop in ANC during landing and take offs so that just could be an app setting.

At 70, there are no better headphones out there and these are really incredible imo...the only downside, if I had to pick, is the size...as these are LARGE

I'd also add, the EQ settings out of the box aren't good. I'd download the Soundcore app to make sure you find one that you like.

You did it wrong. You're supposed to give the wife the good ones and you take the other ones lol. More importantly.. what job do you have where your boss gives you gifts like that?!

After how long does it start to hurt your ear lobes? I had an Audio Technica over the ear headphone which started to hurt after an hour or two. Bose on the other hand, I could wear foe multiple hours.

I work for a private IT firm. Great place to work. My boss is like a dad and just likes to make sure everyone has everything they need to work and be comfortable. We get perks like that all the time Smilie

I have the Q35s because people said it had better sound quality and I thought the inline mic would be useful, but the mic is so bad that it's unusable. The headphones themselves are great for the price. Definitely not audiophile quality sound, and the ANC is decent but not on the level of the XM5, but that's also 5x the price.
