Don't leave these chargers in the car during extreme temperatures. I left my GOOLOO in the car in CA, and the battery bulged and doesn't work anymore.

I don't see any reviews. Is this battery jump pack new? Any feedback?

$99 in store at Walmart in this video posted 6 months ago.

I have the larger GOOLOO brand "4000A" version because I needed one that would do a large diesel engine (truck has two batteries).

I also used the GOOLOO one to crank a generator when the battery was dead and uninstalled. Just plugged up to the leads on the generator. Some of them have an override to jump when a battery is super dead. Others must have a battery at a minimum voltage to jump it. Like it can't be super dead or in that case non-existent. :-)

Are the ones with capacitor/super capacitors the way to go now for these? (Assuming you don't want to use it as a battery back up for a phone)

I think this is the way. As long as the battery has 6 volts, they will work. They don't care about the hot and cold extremes in the trunk or glove box of your vehicle. Never have to worry about charging it up all the time either.

Their return policy states you can only return things if they are damaged or defective, so held off. Most of the reviews are incentivized. Many of the real reviews say it isn't strong enough to charge a car battery. Here is one I found on Amazon on sale that I'm considering, albeit an unknown brand, that is a bit cheaper and has decent reviews. And you can return it for whatever reason. I have no way to test it because my battery is new. Opinions?

had my first experience with one of these kinds of lithium jump starters this week

I bought this one for $25 last week before Amazon raised the price to $37 this week for Prime Day (lol of course higher prices during the sale)

https://www.amazon.com/Booster-Ba...0D9WY86VF/

The 5000a capacity is a lie, nothing on the box matches what is on the website, it says 99wh on the box which would mean it's really only a 19,800mah battery inside.

The clips completely fell apart the first time I used them and the springs just popped right off but I was able to reassemble it all, just very poorly designed and built.

HOWEVER - it worked, and I guess that's all that counts?

Completely dead car battery, I mean for a year now completely absolutely dead and car not started for a year

Hooked the unit up and it wouldn't start the first minute so I let it sit for like 30 minutes and apparently it slowly charged the dead lead-acid battery somewhat.

and it blew me away when it turned over the next time I tried

Gas was old/bad so it would stall every few minutes

But I was able to crank it half a dozen tries with that tiny pack

Absolutely stunned by this technology, I would have had to use a huge old charger with wall plug for hours to do the same thing

I do NOT recommend that particular starter I bought but this technology impresses me otherwise.

Still paying $38+ OTD. I think I'll pay the premium to get a Gooloo since they're on sale too

It's not meant to charge a battery, it's meant to start your car. Some of these devices require you to press a key combination to put them into high power mode if your cars battery is completely shot.
