Not getting the uber eats coupons anymore, so even with a 20% discount this has been less attractive for me. I used to get those coupons almost weekly.

Not getting the uber eats coupons anymore, so even with a 20% discount this has been less attractive for me. I used to get those coupons almost weekly.

FYI this can be combined with the $10 Uber AMEX credit. Since the credit is loaded into your Uber app, you don't have to use your AMEX card to receive the credit. Been doing this for a couple months now. Works out to 40% off a $40 Uber order/ride.

Use paypal checkout for 1 transaction to get 20% back. Ymmv, but more discount. You can easily use it for high value purchase like airpods pro from costco and stack discount

What's the trick here? I thought you have to always use your amex card to get any credit.

Costco doesn't have PP checkout. You mean just use Amex on uber and you get 20% off so why deal with this costco GC?
Uber seems to be the exception. Once you link your Uber account, the credit is deposited into "Uber cash" on the first of the month. As long as it is used during the month, the next credit is sent. Even if you have these gift cards loaded, Uber uses the AMEX credit first.

Can you elaborate? I believe they are both coded as Uber cash, so the amex uber cash benefit is used first and then once it is gone then this uber cash gift card would be used.

Right but I think people are confused because they are pointing this out as if it's an extra deal or loophole or something. The Amex benefit is a monthly credit which has nothing to do with buying these discounted gift cards. You can use both if you have both. Nothing really interesting there.
